PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Elevator Door Jamb Main Floor Level - California Code

Materials:

Made from 0.125" (1/8") thick frosted acrylic in black with white acrylic text and star.
2" tall raised characters and Grade 2 Braille to ensure ADA compliance.
Includes foam tape strips on the back of the sign for easy installation.

Sign Highlights:

Post on both sides of the door jamb of elevators on main floor level.
Star designates main level.
Approved for use in California.
Interior or exterior use.

According to California Code 1116B.1.14, raised characters, including the star, shall be white on a black background. The Braille translation for the star shall be "MAIN."

According to the United States Access Board (ADAAG) - All elevator hoistway entrances shall have raised and Braille floor designations provided on both jambs. The centerline of the characters shall be 60 in (1525 mm) above finish floor. Such characters shall be 2 in (50 mm) high and shall comply with 4.30.4. Permanently applied plates are acceptable if they are permanently fixed to the jambs.
